Skinny dude — 6-9, 180. Looks like a late bloomer, has offers from USC, Stanford and Vandy, as well as a bunch of lower tier D-1s.

I mean, he's top 100 in 247's rankings.

I do not envy Collins and his staff. They really have to recruit across the nation and pick out those select few who can qualify academically. You look at the 2020 offers and it's truly coast-to-coast. I can't imagine they are deep in the Arizona high school basketball scene.

Kevin Coble says hello, as does Vince Scott.

It’s always been like that for NU. They typically land a Chicago kid or two, then they recruit coast-to-coast. At least now, Collins is recruiting US kids. Carmody recruited all over Europe too.

You do realize that mismatches happen a lot in basketball, correct? I watched all of 6 1" (if that), get posted up twice in one game against a much taller player this year. Guess who got the better of that matchup both times? Quickness can make up for size on occassion...

I agree.

But that wasn't the case in the example I cited......Nance had zero post-up moves last season. Hopefully a year with Brian James will lead to a dramatic improvement.
