OSU Spring Semester dates

our niece is a grad student at tOSU and she is just returning from study abroad. So while she missed the main spring semester dates (similar to Penn State), she is able to get into 2nd spring semester starting Feb 28th. I asked my brother about this and he said that tOSU added this split spring a few years ago. He said they had tried in decades past but dumped the idea as a money loser. He said it came back around COVID time.

this second spring semester gives tOSU the ability to pickup transfer portal players later in the cycle - like what is going on with the Bama explosion.

Franklin should get PSU to adjust its academic calendar in the same way. Gotta have "alignment," ya know.

What a pile of sh*t college football turned into

yes tail wags dog now. it used to be the sports were extra-curricular and and now turned upside down.

without that second spring semester tOSU would not be able to pick up all the guys they are from the portal for spring football. they would have to wait for summer or go elsewhere. quite an advantage this year given the complete explosion of a few teams with coach moves. they are also at an advantage as Jimbo interviews with NFL so nobody is going to commit to scum right now.
