There was a rumor posted that the offensive line transfer from OSU who was dismissed from our team before last season might be reinstated. Anyone with any further update?
I assume you mean M(I am not even going to try to spell it) Jones. Did he stay in school after he was dismissed from the team? It seems like I read where he is a real headcase and if that is true then I hope he doesn't come back without an attitude adjustment. One bad apple can ruin the whole bunch. Talent isn't everything, just ask the Bengals!!!
I never said not to let him back on the team, I only expressed the desire that the staff do their due diligence to the best of their ability to make sure that he is truly worthy of another shot and not just make a decision based on talent level alone. It cost the Bengals a playoff victory this year and it also cost them the lost allegiance of many fans including myself. I want what is best for the team but not at the cost of fans losing respect for the coaching staff and administration.(We sure don't want to come off looking like OTIS) Personally, I hope he does get his act together and make a successful return to the team, but only if he is truly worthy of another chance. He has 2 strikes already, one at tOSU and one here. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance but to get the 3rd chance they really need to make serious changes to whatever is their demon. I assume the staff knows what his demon is and will closely evaluate it in order to not make a image damaging decision for the university.
Not happening.I heard that he was offered the option to put in the work to get back on our team, so it's not out of the realm of possibility. I hope he got everything back on track and was reinstated, because he would be valuable to our team. If anybody can confirm this, that would be terrific.
Meanwhile (although I agree with your position) UK leans over backwards the other way, this case is probably an example, I don't know any details.
We do have a few good transfers coming in for the right reasons though, they should help.
Jauk11; I have gone blank. Who are the incoming transfers? Thank you. Go Cats!!Really fortunate for some that City Colleges don't have to worry about that at all. Courtney Love and Greg Hart from Nebraska, freshmen TE and LB, and Lacey, a LB from Wisconsin. I didn't look it up but I suspect all of them might be from Ohio originally, think a couple of them tried to get eligible because of moving closer to sick relatives. None of them kicked out of their University, unlike several of Transfer U's four and five stars that played this year.
Thanks jauk11. I was thinking that there may have been some additional transfers that I may have missed. I misunderstood your comment. You are correct. Jones and Tubman are a closed chapter. Neither will ever play at Kentucky. I still remember being lectured very confrontationally here several months ago by another poster on this thread who insisted Jones was a future starting guard for our football team. The same guy is still beating that drum a little bit, but it's time to man up. Jones was never a fit at Kentucky. The same reasons he was run off at OSU killed his chance to play college football at other P5 programs. We are just fine with Ramsey Meyers, George Asafo-Adjei, Nick Haynes as our top guards.I agree Jauk11, I really don't think that for this reason either M Jones or L Tubman will ever play for UK
Laster from Minnesota. Not sure who Lacey is.
How soon you forget, he was the great RB from Bama. Maybe harris has usrrped him already.
I thought Lacey at first, knew it wasn't right, looked it up and then typed what was on my mind. Guess i won't waste time looking it up next time, plenty of corrections available on here.

A former player told me Matt Elam was picking with Jones, who got a little irritated and choked all 350lbs of Matt Elam straight out. I guess Matt chose the wrong guy to pick with.
