I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis 5-10 years ago, very similar to sciatica, in fact that’s what they thought I had at first. I’ve had numerous injections. There is no magic bullet, including the injections although they do take the edge off if done well. I’ve tried stretching, exercises, massage, steroid packs, you name it. What works the best for me is consistent movement; walking, running if you can, to stay ahead of it. I combine wind sprints with walking while listening to a podcast or something, 4-5 times a week. Even then it will occasionally flare. Good luck; the closest I’ve seen to that pain is a broken bone.

Injections helped me tremendously but eventually wear off. Then just get another one, anything's better than that pain. I could get 4 a year but haven't had one in sometime. Check out stretching exercises on You Tube, helped me. Also if I go anywhere that has shopping carts available I use them , seems to take strain off back or sciatic nerve.

I had sciatica pain a few years ago for the first time. I agree about checking out stretching exercises on YouTube. That's what I did back then and they helped greatly.

But I had another episode a couple of weeks ago before having to take an out -of -state trip. I did not want to go through a long cycle of this. So before I left for my trip, I ordered something I found on-line in a video, Sciaticyl, created by a medical doctor. 5 bottles cost on Amazon, just around $60, total. So, they are not expensive. It's called an "advanced sciatic nerve support". It was expected to arrive when I got back. My plan was to start taking the capsules when I got back. But by the time I got back, the pain had gone away. Maybe that's because I had to do a lot of walking while away? Not sure. But next time the pain comes up, I will take those tablets. It's not easy being old. Good luck to you and all of us.

Have you ever heard of Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) by chance? I bet it would bring you relief. The big problem, assuming you are in SC, is it's ILLEGAL in this state! But, you could drive to the Eastern Cherokee Indian Reservation in Cherokee, NC where cannabis is 100% legal for anyone age 21+.

If you've never heard of it, watch a FREE YouTube movie called "Run From The Cure" (The Rick Simpson story) to learn everything you might need.

"Run From The Cure" (The Rick Simpson Story)

I know RSO works for Sciatica, so I did a search for that word on the Cannabis Health Radio website and found 2 interviews from patients on there.

Search for Sciatica at CannabisHealthRadio.com

Episode 316: Cannabis Helps His 15 Vertebrae Fractures and Other Spinal Issues

Episode 385: Suffering A Host Of Ailments, Cannabis Has Greatly Improved His Quality Of Life

Maybe this isn't your cup of tea, but it's good to know there is a natural option that actually works. I'd encourage anyone in here with any serious disease to check out the first-hand accounts of how well RSO or FECO (Full Extract Cannabis Oil) works for so many diseases. It can be a MIRACLE!

To find out how RSO might help cure and/or relieve the symptoms of YOUR disease naturally, go to the home page of CannabisHealthRadio.com.

Cannabis Health Radio

Next, scroll all the way down to the bottom of that page and type in your disease into the sitewide search box there. BINGO! Multiple patient interviews should pop up. Listen to one or all of them to educate yourself.

It's ridiculous how SC continues to be a NANNY STATE that does not yet allow its citizens to cure their own diseases with a natural healing plant! SC is wasting over $100 MILLION annually on prohibition fighting a losing battle against a healing PLANT. Most Americans live where it is LEGAL!

Yes sir. Straight up hell on my left side. It hit me about 16 months ago and then took about 6 months to get past it. I take steps now to not sit or stand or drive too long without stretching and moving.

It's still in the background but not bad. It usually gives me warning in my hip or knee before it flares and I can cut it off with moving and stretching.

I did the PT. It's a requirement of the medical/insurance protocols. Only temporary relief after getting stretched out well. I've had five steroid injections. I'm no way well. I'd say I'm manageable, but not more than 60% on a good day. .

If YOU want the option for an effective Natural pain cure, DO NOT Vote for SC Prohibitionist Alan Wilson to be the next Governor of SC! Look what he said on cannabis in the middle of an ongoing opioid overdose crisis that is still killing over 100,000 Americans annually!

"Marijuana is the most dangerous drug in America." WHAT? A healing PLANT herb that has never killed anyone in all of recorded history?

He approved of SC wasting over $1 BILLION on prohibition in the last decade. Legalizing it for adults 21+, like dozens of other states, could bring in $300M annually! If you add the $100M annually in SC TAXPAYER FUNDS Wilson approved for continuing prohibition, that comes to over $400 MILLION saved and earned annually! Compare that to the tiny amount of state revenue an I-95 gambling casino would generate ($75M annually).

Do the math. Legalizing cannabis for adults 21+ could generate $1 BILLION in less than 3 years! Casino revenue would take 16 TIMES longer! Gambling casinos cause people to go broke. Adult-use legalization Saves LIVES from overdoses and drunk driving deaths and can be what FINALLY leads to improving our "Worst in the Nation" public schools and roads. SC must realize Medical cannabis is urgently needed NOW!

I feel for you, my friend. I'm so sorry to read that. I wish you well. I know if I have another bout of sciatica, I am going to try Sciaticyl that I have stored here at home. I do NOT want to endure the pain. I know some may say well it's something I found on-line and is probably a waste of time. To that I say that I had Pulsatile Tinnitus starting in November 2024, which is a swishing sound and air coming out of my right ear, which is a lot worse than Tinnitus (that I have had for as long as I can remember, still have and can easily live with). But, not with Pulsatile Tinnitus. Luckily or unluckily, I also have sleep apnea. The Cpap machine drowned out the noise from Pulsatile Tinnitus. But it was still aggravating during the day. I asked my ENT what could be done about it. He said there was no cure and that 10% of his patients suffered from it. Now, my ENT is well-educated. He got a Bachelors degree from Clemson, a Masters in Public Health from Carolina and his medical degree from MUSC in Charleston. But I looked on line and watched a video on pills that could cure me of Pulsatile Tinnitus. I took those pills for 6 months and now no longer suffer from Pulsatile Tinnitus. Now I still have tinnitus. I have had that for decades and can live with that. But the swishing of air and the sound of that coming out of my right ear....that is GONE, thankfully.

Small world. I also rely on the benefits of a Cpap machine, although not those particular benefits. I do love the feeling of being sort of peacefully "insulated".

I take Gabapentin 3 times a day and helps a lot. I get it free in mail order for 3 months so it must not be a 2or3 tier med.

Maybe I'm the minority, but it seems that once you hit a certain age you are going to live with some sort of pain. It's cruel and unfortunate if you were active all your life like me. I have incredible neck pain right now. Every day for the last 3 years it's either minor or incredible. No way to cure cervical spondylosis. Don't even know how I got it. Perhaps I was too active. So I should go back in time and be a lazy fck instead.

How many mg per tablet? I do take gabapentin for something else. Now that I think about it, my orthopedic MD was going to prescribe that when I had my first sciatica event. Maybe that's why my second one was short and less of a problem. I would not have taken my road trip if the pain was as bad as it was the first time. BTW, we might be the same age if you graduated in 1974.

Yeah. I used to play golf. No more, for me. There are times I wish I could go back to my youth because I certainly was in better health (except for when my left knee ligaments were snapped in football). Of course, I also would love to see my parents, especially my Dad, again, as well friends, male and female, who have passed away. But then I realize..... Oh NO, I'd have to go back to school again, participate in the "rat race" again where the rats win too often and go through the dating game again. So, when it's all said and done, I'm glad I'm the age I am. It's a blessing. Now, I don't enjoy travelling like I did back in the day. Staying in a hotel..... screw that.

i’ve been doing the YouTube exercises and it seems to have helped a little bit. I do have a follow up appointment for possible injection.

Had some minor pain a few years ago. I was able to remedy it with some floor stretches, but I assume that's only b/c it was minor. Or at least I'm assuming it was minor b/c I was able to remedy it with floor stretches.

I started out at 200mg and now on 600mg if it helps. Good luck on what helps you because I know the pain and it is not good at all.
