Very cloudy in Austin today but during totality the clouds parted for about 15 seconds, and I could see solar flares in the aura. Pretty cool.

I wouldn't say it was dark as night; maybe dark as 30m before dawn. Streetlights came on, nocturnal birds flew out of trees.

i can see why our ancestors thought the gods were mad from time to time 😂

It's a really bizarre phenomenon. When Columbia had the total eclipse in 2017 I remember it being like dusk, but just a different light that you don't typically get.

It was 85% here. Very cool still if you’re into science/nature at all. Impressive how bright it is with only 15%.

Atlanta was just a strange light. Kinda like after a storm and the clouds are just moving out. I was in Columbia in 2017 and that was super cool..

I have a nephew in Austin - teaches at the University.
