Finally something in this thread that makes sense. How long does it take for the earth to revolve once on its axis?
![]()
One complete revolution of the Earth around the sun takes 365.25 days. A day is 24 hours, which is the time it takes the earth to revolve on it's axis plus the time it takes to catch up with the sun, which has moved 1/365.25 of one rotation away from where it was the day before. So the time for one rotation of the the Earth is one day minus 1/365.25th of a day, which is 23 hours, 56 minutes, 4.091 seconds. This is known as a Sidereal Day.
I didn't agree to that. How long will the beaches be closed Mayor Vaughn?
Adidas is paying lots of cents. Finally something in this thread that makes sense.
Fixed, for everyone.Tgar he an early 5:30 pm event followed by watching the Pirates sweep the Dodgers and then he is going to catch the second half of the Eagles beatdown on Dallas.
Thank Tgar the season has finally arrived.
yes I know, looking at the time stamp I should have said 25 hrs!9 hours 34 minutes.
#subjectlinesmatter, ffs.
there may be a lot of hype around Philly in Philly, but nationally , imo there's next to none. On profootballtalk.com they made predictions, nobody has the Eagles in the Superbowl, some had them not even winning the division (Washington) some had them missing the playoffs. On the NFL channel the Eagles are rarely mentioned. So all is good!I am officially worried now. When there is this much hype around a Philly sports team we are being set up for a huge let down. I have been a Philly sports fan for way to long and can't deprogram myself from this brainwashing since 1978!!!
I am curious to see how Washington does this year... they won't sneak up on people anymore. They have the oldest team in the NFL. Last year they had a bunch of crazy bounces and plays come through at the end of games to help them win a number of games. Tough to get those bounces 2 years in a row. Add in a much more difficult schedule and not being able to sneak up on teams I think they will have a much more difficult year posting any close to the amount of wins they had last year.there may be a lot of hype around Philly in Philly, but nationally , imo there's next to none. Thus my confusieyes I know, looking at the time stamp I should have said 25 hrs!

Florio, Simms make 2025 NFL predictions
Mike Florio and Chris Simms break down their picks for the playoff teams and Super Bowl winner for the 2025 NFL season.www.nbcsports.com
Don't know if there's another set of predictions somewhere on profootballtalk, but here, on video, 1 of the 2 talking heads predicted the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Both had them as the #1 seed in the playoffs. The other guy had the Pack beating the Eagles in the NFC Championship, with the logic that he's fine putting the Eagles there, but he wanted to mix it up and have different teams in the Super Bowl.
Oh, wait ... here's the profootballtalk writers ...

PFT's 2025 NFL season predictions
The five PFT writers roll the dice on the season to come.www.nbcsports.com
2 of 5 have the Eagles as the 1 seed. Another as the 2. Yes, 1 had them not making the playoffs and another had them as the 5 seed, but the guy who had them as the 5 also predicted them to lose in the NFC Championship game. So, even in no-hype-ville, 4 of the 5 still had them making the NFC Championship game.
