Will Ugo still want to go there and play behind GN?
There’s some belief from Bama fans that Ugo is the backup plan if they can’t land Rutgers transfer Cliff Omoruyi, who’s visiting now. Either way, Nelson shouldn’t affect either one of them. He’s really more of a stretch 4 than a true 5, and was only playing there last year out of necessity. The plan is to have a true center and play Nelson more in his natural position this year.

The question I have is will this impact Aiden Sherrell's outlook on Alabama? I mean Nelson's returning.....you are targeting Omoruyi who has a huge NIL asking price, and will not be going to a school he's not playing significant minutes-they expect Sears to return to school (sorry UK rumor mill) and have Wrightsell returning with Diabate and Stevenson, and are also bringing in 2 Wing Transfers along with Nas Cunningham/Derrion Reid/LaBaron Philon and Sherrell is an elite talent as a 6'10 stretch player.

Understand that roles can be defined, etc...but big time talents like Sherrell usually can go where they are getting 30 MPG as a true FR.

I forgot about Aden Holloway too. That roster is pretty stacked up. Understand they were successful in the NCAA run but minutes/fit matters too. A lot of key players on that run are gone--Estrada and Griffen and Pringle's performance against Clemson got them to the Final Four. Know fans think "he's not that good-you can upgrade" well he was good when it mattered and now he's in Columbia, South Carolina. Griffen is at KU and Estrada has to move due to being out of eligibility.

There's 1 ball.....and while they play fast and get up and down--your fit is more important than getting the best talent.

I really wanted Cliff, I hope he doesn’t choose Bama because he’s really solid.

Are we even still in the running for him? He’s a very good player that I’d be happy to have, but I haven’t really heard anything linking him to us after being on that initial list of teams who had contacted him.

Nelson really took a back seat last year while Sears was featured, although he cooked UNC in the tournament.

Wonder if he’s promised a bigger role this year.
