Apparently there was an active shooter on an overpass and i75 is closed. All the traffic is being filtered onto Richmond road, man o war, and Winchester from south and Paris pike from north. It’s absolute gridlock.

I've seen a ton of classic movies at Regal Hamburg (I've kept all of my movie ticket stubs since the late '90s). The most memorable is probably The Fellowship of the Ring. My friends and I are all Tolkien nuts and it was a great, great time.
After "You have my sword. And my bow. And my axe.", my friend's girlfriend turned to him and audibly muttered "How's Fro-do gonna carry all that?!" And when Gandalf fell, another friend -- who's probably read the books a dozen times (he brought a copy of the book to the movie) -- sobbed loudly for like an entire minute.
As we were leaving, in the lobby, some fat guy who was with two older women yelled out "they didn't even get the damn ring to the mountain!" XD

Yeah, I’m not clear why a single dude with a pistol threatening to kill himself warranted a 5 hour shutdown in such a busy spot. Just warn the guy once and if he doesn’t comply, shoot him in the knee or with rubber bullets.
I always think of Alanis Morisette when the cops shoot someone threatening to shoot themselves.

Could've been the fat guy who was mad that Sam and Frodo didn't get the ring to Mount Doom. He was pissed.

Unlike today's poor soul, that woman wasn't screwing around. I may be remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure another woman killed herself in the exact same way near that spot more recently, but I can't find an article on it.
I'd never kill myself. I'll fight death as long as possible. But if you were gonna off yourself, how would you do it?

Whatever it was it would look like an accident so my family would collect my life insurance. If I am going to make them hurt over my loss I sure don't want to double down and stiff them of the life insurance.
