OT: Axemann Brewery in Bellefonte

If you’re close by absolutely check it out. They did an amazing job renovating an old industrial complex. The building itself self is worth the visit (although better in the summer when the big back doors are open and the train comes by with the engineer right at the level of the deck). Beer is pretty good. Food can be iffy - when we lived close they were having difficulty keeping the food service open since it was a contract basis and not owned by the establishment. Also pretty good music, trivia, etc on some nights.
The food situation has been resolved for quite a while. 2 options share the kitchen/ordering area.
Basically bar food or pizza, etc., but pretty good stuff.
They are great with events of all kinds, both public and private. Terrific owners, terrific staff.
Great local business that wins "Best Of" awards every year.

It's worth a shot. Drinks are good. Food can be hit or miss at times. It's a unique atmosphere, and worth checking out if you want something different. I have been there with people that used to work there when it was a brass factory. It's fun to watch them wander around and reminisce about the old days of working there. There is some cool old industrial equipment sitting around as decor.
