I don’t watch the CFP ranking show every week, but I read enough to know that it’s just people in a room eating wonderful food and making up criteria to best serve their own personal and conference interests.

The process is weird and bad.

Bring back the computers, our old friend says:

I couldn't disagree with the Sherman's comment that 2 teams was the problem more. The BCS was great because it wasn't trying to radically change the sport. Now the sport revolves around a subjective postseason instead of just winning your conference and beating your rivals. The idea that the playoff is all that matters has been poison.

LOL. Sagarin would have an SEC (GA, Bama) vs. B10 showdown (UM, OSU) this year, with ND a bridesmaid again.

Regardless of 4 or eight teams in the CFP is rigged to support essentially this format:
SEC Champ (plus Alabama as runner-up)
B1G Champ (as long as its OSU/UM/PSU) an undefeated NU in 2020 would have been a "down year" for the B1G
ACC Champ (preferably Clemson)
AT Large (see all of the above plus Notre Dame or Big 12/Pac12 Champ (see-Oklahoma/Texas or USC/Oregon) that's it. They don't want UCF or Cincy crashing this exclusive party. EVER

BCS was hated but it was fair and unbiased from the computer's perspective. Here is some of the team diversity you saw with the BCS you would never see now:
-WVA
-Boise State-Beat OU and media loved it but hated them in Fiesta bowl to begin with
-Louisville-media hated Brohm & co.
-Utah-And now we have Urban Meier
-TCU
-Cincy
-Illinois
-Kansas State-media hated it
-KU-media hated it
-OKSTU
-UCF
-Colorado
-UConn-media hated it
-Hawaii-media hated it
-NIU-Media hated it
-Pitt
-Wake
-WSU
Too many teams and conferences got a taste of the fruit. Well that's over now and the panel is to make sure it won't happen again. Watch Cincy not win by enough points and see ND leap them.
