You must believe everything you read on the internet. Always looking for a conspiracy to latch on to. Say it with me P-A-R-A-N-O-I-A

So was this "cyber attack" just from 5am to 6am or something because I haven't noticed anything being down

My internet was out about 4 hours yesterday. Even my TV service.

Plenty more experienced it as well, or are they just misinforming on Twitter about it.

Oh just seeing this happened yesterday and not this morning. I didn't notice anything but definitely wont be shocked if a massive cyber attack happens, just a matter of time

When it happens it'll be mass chaos. There was an 80s movie called The Trigger Effect about a blackout in Cali and everone lost their minds. Imagine no internet? Everything is high tech these days. It would effect more than just cell phones and computers.

It was me. I unplugged the fancy coffee maker at work yesterday and all hell broke loose.

Seems like Twitter and Youtube were down or not functioning correctly. Two separate worldwide entities having issues at the same time. Seems a little more than coincidental. I'm not conspiracy theorist, BTW. Occam's Razor and whatnot.

In this day and age, dropping a nuclear bomb does not make much sense if the enemy wants to decimate your country and its citizens. Disrupt the power grid and/or the internet and the chaos it would create would be catastrophic because the way we live now its essentially just as bad as cutting off the water and food supply.

We have many, many independent power grids. Every time it sleets in Texas, they get smashed in the groin, but it doesn't affect their neighbors.

I kind of want to see a widespread societal collapse just for the giggles I’d have watching some of these gung-ho types that post around here absolutely fail and flail around.

I wonder why Tik-Tok isn't on that list. Everyone else is.

I mean, just think, if the internet did go completely out, how would people get this odd & concerning information?

Thank God for Twitter, can’t seem to find it too many places unless you look real hard, that is unless you use Twitter!

But it’s a threat!

Nevermind that the chinamen were flying a balloon over us last week.

Only thing I noticed recently is ESPN+ was breaking up a lot Tuesday night. I didn't panic because it was a UC game. However, Russia should be in panic mode by now. A year into their war with little progress.

I sure would hate to fight against one of those little suckers, I wonder how many of them they have, especially selling them to Honolulu.

U know, the yellow one that is still scanning folks for Covid.

In all seriousness, if I saw one of those things coming down a street at me, even knowing what it is, I'd probably freak out.

It would give me a headache looking up all the random twitter accounts 1_Cool_CAT enjoys.

Seriously though, I didn't notice anything on my end last night but I'm not tied to social media all that much. I enjoy it but in moderation. I feel like if you had no idea there was a possible cyber attack that involved a few apps and some social media platforms, you're probably doing something right in your life.

Turkey had a widespread social media blackout, but it was just because people were questioning why there appeared to be no funds in the earthquake relief fund they paid taxes into. I’m sure Erdogan is blaming a Chinese balloon.

So, as long as it is happening & I don’t know about it, no big deal & it’s all good

Never understood that concept. Information is Knowledge, and Power!

Not sure I said that exactly, but I hear ya. I watched wrestling last night then read a bit, so I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Cyber attacks will be commonplace as society continues to adapt to this (still) new, more convenient lifestyle. They do it to us, we do it to them. Doesn't make it right of course.
