That game should serve as a perfect example of what an “old” man can do. Watson is good and could have won the HT that year but LJ did deserve the trophy because of how he elevated UoL to great heights without the cast of characters that Watson had at his disposal at Clemson.

That game came down to who had the ball last. Watson marched down the field in three plays and scored. Then Brees gets them in field goal range. Watson was not out done he merely didn’t get another chance. And the Saints are darn lucky they have a good kicker or that’s a loss. That was a record kick for him, no cupcake. One heck of a game. As a Steelers fan I was cheering on the Saints.
Why would you trash Deshawn Watson who seems like a good dude for other people being obnoxious?
He might be a ‘good dude’ but he rubbed a lot of Louisville fans the wrong way when he whined about himself being the best college QB when asked about Lamar Jackson winning the Heisman Trophy.
They are both great but here’s to Lamar having a better pro career. Love that guy.

Had Watson won the Heisman, Lamar would have accepted, and never said any disparaging remarks about Watson.
Watson is a good QB, but showed poor sportmanship in his whining about being the "real" Heisman winner.
