OT: dung beetles

Scientists in South Africa discovered that at night, dung beetles seemed to be able to roll balls of dung in straight lines, guided by the Milky Way. New York Times, 12/31. If this is true, why do I only find flathead screwdrivers when I need a Phillips head??

Having three dogs, I see a lot of dung beetles in my yard. We're also blessed to have Florida Deep Digger Scarab beetles leaving dozens of sand piles everywhere. They seem to like dog turds as well.
