The odds are horrible, so I don't play, but I was wondering if some of yas have purchased for the half billion dollar prize for tonight.

(odds are extremely better that you win at a casino)

I once met a guy that won the lottery in KS. His take was 600,000 dollars. He was broke within 2 years and not only that he had quit his job and then lost his home.

Big money does strange things to people......

Yep, it takes a disciplined person to handle it. The worst part is hangers on and family dogging you on a daily.

There are some success stories if you look.

There was a young cat, 32 years old that won a state lottery that the nut was enough to generate 80k a year in interest, which he lived on comfortably with a little change left over.
All he really bought was a modest house and a new car. Very frugal fellow.
Clearly the exception to the rule though.

If you want better odds, give me $5 and guess the number between 0 - 100 I'm thinking.

My intentions for what to do if I won....just to have some fun:

Remain anonymous if possible.
Some charities donations.
My wife's retirement.
Friends and family help.
Home on Mount Desert Island, Maine, during the summer, overlooking the ocean.
Condo in Houston, Gettysburg, Cooperstown, San Antonio.
Visiting all 50 states.
Visiting Germany, Italy, England and Ireland.
Visiting Iwo Jima.
Visiting Normandy again, this time spending three full days.

Buying lotto tickets and just fantasizing what I would do is fun.

+1 on visiting Gettysburg. I once attended an Apple(eating kind, not IPad) meeting in Baltimore. I booked a one way trip so I could drive back and visit many of the Civil War battle sites. Long story short, I wasn't able to do it due to business concerns.

To this day, I think about that missed opportunity...........

Although my chances are slim to none, I will donate $20.00
to the lottery commission.

Well it seems I'm in a continuous bad week. OU lost last Friday, OU lost last Monday, my portfolio is shrinking and I lost the Powerball sweepstakes yesterday. What are the odds of this happening to anyone else but me? :(:(:(

You need to dig deep in that couch and find you some change and buy a ticket fitty. Never know, you could be the next Donald Trump....HA!

Wait, he probably makes that amount in interest every day..............

Oh yeah, guys like Trump are 'confused' rich.
That is, they're so flush they have no idea what to indulge in on a daily basis.

I think I could make it a science.:D
