I've got a arctic class sleeping bag my departed father gave me shortly before his demise.

He bought it to camp out in Colorado when he lived there.
It's rated for +20 to - 20 degrees F.

I'm putting it in the bed of the pickup on a high end double width air mattress and sleeping there tonight.
The low is supposed to be +20.
We'll see how it goes.

Ah, what an adventure!
I might have to indulge in some herb to ease my anxiety.

I'll check in tomorrow to report for board duty...at my leisure.
Don't wait for me!

Why? I had a frozen water pipe break in my basement today. It cost me 280 dollars. I'm glad my plumber is a friend or it would have been triple. I'll take my warm bed with a chicken feather bed comforter.

Why?
Because it's there...

Oh, been plotting on this since he gave it to me.
Do I wish I was at the base of Mt. Scott with a big titted, low IQ 25 year old?
Sure, who wouldn't? Next time I'll arrange that.

Uh, about that pipe...think heat tape...

When I had pickup trucks and was younger, I slept many nights out in the open (in the bed of the truck). In some very remote places too. It's awesome. But winter time? Um, no.

One more thing. I installed 8 IR cameras around the property a few years ago. After seeing all the critters that lurk at night, I will never sleep in the open again. Not if I can help it.

Good to see you made it today. I'm your neighbor in BA but I did live 1 mile south of the river off highway 72. I'm sure you know where that is.

So it gets a little chilly outside and you have to resort to a fancy sleeping bag for warmth.........

I'm reminded of what Carla Jean said to Llewellyn Moss- "Big Talk!".

It gets weird when you quote the second part when Llewellyn says to Carla Jean, "...keep it up, and I'll take you in the back and screw you."

That actually precedes the "Big talk" comment.

By the way, that's one of my favorite movies

Fitty is OK. He just now got his tongue unstuck from the truck bed. ;)

Y'all are some funny fughers.

Nope, rumors of my demise are patently exaggerated.

I would like to pay tribute to the gaggle of geese that gave up their feathers that were put in that sleeping bag.
Come to think of it, I've never heard of a goose that froze to death.:D
