Pittsburgh - the capital of college football success. Just ask them, preferably someone born before 1900.

So, you're going to Croatia.

My Grandparents and great-grandparents were from Croatia (Yugoslavia).
My wife (Irish) wants to go there.

Went to Ireland last year.

Yes. It’s going to be great. Zagreb, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik. Day trip to Ljubljana from Bled. Gate 1 Tour.

The tour ends in Venice and we’ll be spending another two weeks in Italy, anchored in Venice, Bologna, Florence. Day trips to Padua (Scrovegni Chapel is on bucket list), Ravenna, Milan (Leonardo’s Last Supper), Siena. Our Airbnb in Florence is steps away from Ponte Vecchio, eight nights there.

Also, my mathematical background is from the Italian School of Algebraic Geometry. Castelnuovo got his degree in Padua, for example. I geek out on that.

Depends on how you count Amsterdam. It's kinda half a capital.

But for me

DC
Amsterdam
Tallin, Estonia
Helsinki (airport)
Berlin (and Bonn, when it was the capital--ditto East Berlin when it was the capital of the DDR)
Paris
Rome
Vatican City
Luxembourg City
Athens (airport)
Cairo
Tel Aviv (and Jerusalem, depending on how you count it)
Doha (airport)

Of course, Philly and NYC are former capitals.
I've been in Reykjavik's airport, at Keflavik, which probably does not count.
