He was definitely the right gag at the right moment. McMahon and Hogan really changed the business model of professional wrestling.
Not entirely OT -- because he is one of the faces of the new pro freestyle league.
This is the kind of thing that could kill that project in its infancy. Hopefully not, but there's an obvious hit to marketing and investor relations.
