just watched a film on showtime about him, odd fellow to say the least!

Yep, that was one of my fav bands that totally eluded me the short time they were together.
Oh, I could have saw them, just had to do to the Hollywood Bowl in LA in 1967...no problem.

Funny, the first time I heard 'Sunshine of your love', that was an existential moment.
That you could make sounds like that with a guitar...I was hooked.

Veritas we must hear more of this story, it has the feelings of almost rat packish...

Ya, I was curious about that too.
I sneaked back stage after a Who concert before the drummer died...they threw me out on my ear.

Really, I landed on my ear.:(

"Badge" was their best song IMO.

Yep, a good one. If you notice the Beatle-esque sound that's for good reason. George Harrison was a co-writer with Clapton.

'Born under a bad sign', killer tune...they had very few clunkers.

A must have CD for you youngins is the first (only?) Blind Faith. Arguably the second super group behind, or equal to Led Zeppelin.

One thing's missing from that buggy, that is the requisite peace symbol (chicken foot) in that circle in the front.

That is a majorly nice restore by the by. Too bad those wimpy things only have 60 HP.
Here's an idea, Porsche engine! That's the ticket!

you know how much a 23 window bus is worth? $$$$$$$$$$

I have no idea.
What I do know is I sold one in 1971 for 650...got that going for me!:(

Uh, check that. I didn't have those little windows in the top like that. Nope.

Man, I checked those out. A 23 window Samba sold at Barrett Jackson for 217800!
Completely insane.

'Teach Your Children Well'...

Here are two tid-bits about that great song. One is pretty amazing.

#1 Although labeled a CSN&Y song, Neil Young is not part of that recording.

#2 Jerry Garcia plays the beautiful Steel Guitar in this song. Two days before the recording was made, he never had touched a Steel Guitar in his life. He learned to play in two days.

#1 I knew. #2 I have never heard - that's unbelievable. Amazing.

Fitty, you do any Robbie Robertson or The Band? Music from the Big Pink?
