Talk about lighting it up. Nice win by the Doug Collins Redbirds.
Will we even score 177 points in our first two games combined?

Tell us more about Greenville. I'm actually interested and know nothing about the school.I only applied to two colleges coming out of high school - Ball State and Greenville. I had the opportunity to play basketball at Greenville. I went to Ball State. Regrets to this day.
I don’t think I have every seen a 86% FG percent for a team in a game.

Greenville has an overall strong sports excellence environment. It’s always been, at least since the 1960s, a destination for student athletes in the high schools in a 50-100 plus mile radius. Football, baseball, basketball, track and field, soccer, both male and female, Greenville teams are high achievers in most years.
Interesting. Grinnell, which was also mentioned in this thread, is the more prestigious and famous school and they of course run an up-tempo style, but if you look up the "Grinnell System" on Wikipedia, their style seems opposite of Greenville's in many ways, where three pointers are greatly preferred over twos:Some of the other stats for Greenville’s games are even more amazing.
More than 200 shots in some games. Very few 3-point shots made, almost all points scored with 2’s. Greenville shooting less than 40% in each game but scoring around, or over, 100 points. Must be wild to watch.
I guess the answer is yes...Will we even score 177 points in our first two games combined?
My son played D-3 basketball (U of Dallas). One of the teams they played (don't recall who) just plain didn't play defense... at all; apparently as a deliberate strategy. I think my son set a single game scoring record of some kind with 43 pts. Dallas won the game, btw.Talk about lighting it up. Nice win by the Doug Collins Redbirds.

Did they use the cherry picker scheme? My son played D-3 basketball (U of Dallas). Son said they used the Grinnell College scheme, shoot the first three or layup available and then go full-court.Did they use the cherry picker scheme?
