I was in thar market on Tuesday and my nose immediately started bleeding, freaked the cashier out. Jammed a Kleenex in there to plug it up. I also since turning 50 have the runny nose / sniffles every morning for at least two hours the minute I wake.

Just Curious.

Potter, I used to get them all the time. My Doctor said to put some AFRIN nose spray on a cotton ball/tissue and place in the nostril(s). It constricts the blood vessels...

If you have forced air heat, a humidifier is a real life saver in the winter. When I am in Northern Michigan, I run mine constantly through March. It holds 6 gallons of water, and I set it to push out about 3-4 gallons per day into my 1250 sq foot main floor of my ranch style house. Nosebleeds and dry skin just don't happen when I do this, but they sure did before.

I moved to a very dry climate and initially experienced the same thing. Try the vicks saline spray, also there is a product called Ayr thats pretty good. Get a humidifier and at least run it in your bedroom at night.
