Thibodeau helped the Knicks to their first Eastern Conference finals in 25 years, made the playoffs in four of his five years and led the team to consecutive 50-win seasons for first time since the 1990s- crazy he was fired

Some franchises just can’t get out of their own way and are destined to suck. The Knicks are one of them.
Decisions made in pro sports are often just mystifying. Ego and hubris often seem to out flank reason.
Meh, the Knicks haven’t won any championships in more than 50 years. Riley, Van Grundy, Pitino, Hubie Brown, D’Antoni, Larry Brown, etc.
Speaking of Pitino, here’s his comments when asked if he would consider the Knicks job again (“absolutely not!”). Kind of reminded me of comments he made before leaving for the Celtics (“I will be back at UK…I mean that….”).
I feel bad for Thibodeau. The Knicks’ business management team doesn’t seem grateful for the success he helped them achieve this season.
What an ignorant move lmao I mean they made it to game 6 of the ECF! I was kinda shocked they made it that far, considering they weren’t crazy talented. I mean, they were solid, but I thought it was a great coaching job for them to get that far. JMO.

Branding, marketing and PR drive everything because those drive revenue and that's all anyone cares about anymore. Money, money, and more money. Literally everything in human society (developed) is about making money. States can't even upgrade highways and roads without wedging in tolls and double-dipping on our road taxes plus making us pay again to drive on the roads we've already paid for.
