I don't like the smell of this. River North has become very dangerous, especially late at night.

If it were a crime his body likely would have been found. These cases usually end up with body found in river/lake (accidental drowning).

Hoping for the best.

Bump.

On a hopeful note, I saw a headline about a 4 year old girl in Australia who was kidnapped and safely returned to her family weeks later.

So I hope Inaki is okay.

River North, very dangerous? Hmmm, so compared to carbini green or Robert Taylor Homes in the 1990’s or Arlington Park today.

Hope they find this individual and he’s well but calling River North very dangerous is a hyperbole that’s most likely not fitting.

There have been more high profile incidents in River North this year than last. Unfortunately, that’s true of most Chicago and many metropolitan areas

Good grief. Tell the people who live there that it’s not dangerous. You sound like a guy who has been politically triggered. Too bad you went there in a thread about a young man who went missing, and is likely dead.

It's ok Hungry. You can come out of your safe room now. Odds are good nothing will happen to you, notwithstanding the unfortunate misfortune this young man likely encountered.

The biggest emphasis of your post seems to be that River North is very dangerous.

Regarding how would I be aware of the area, I live about 5 blocks from the club the guy was last seen

Really good. I even find time on a daily basis to make it down to the big scary city. A few times a week I even venture over to River North for lunch or happy hour. Thanks for the warning. I didn't realize it was such a dangerous place. Next time I'll put on my bullet proof vest and will be packing heat before i make it back to the 708.

Corbi is, as usual, Unbearable. A young man and a family friend of a poster that’s actually liked is missing, perhaps deceased. And you venture into the thread with your typical smarmy BS.

I’m very sorry to say that apparently the news is bad. His body was recovered from the Chicago River, according to WGN. My condolences to his family and friends.

terrible. Any indication of foul play or just a terrible accident.

Ugh…terrible news indeed. These stories always remind me of the “smiley faced killers” theory from a few years back. Too many college age males dying in this manner.

I live in Lincoln park but know a ton of business/restaurant owners via my job. River North is turning into a Warzone. It’s gotten brutal and getting worse

I avoided reading this thread for awhile out of fear of this terrible news. Very, very sorry to hear this. MaxPower, God be with your son, and Inaki's family. Lordy, life sucks sometimes.

Awful news - he was so young. RIP Inaki.

Thoughts and prayers with his family.
