OT: NCSU’s Burns drops 45 pounds for NBA draft

Good for him but he didn’t weigh 275 last year, that’s like JLO (rip) when he was QB, he wasn’t 275 either. Just a listed weight that looks better then 360!
Sounds to me like a guy that will put the weight right back on if you give him enough money and his contract doesn't have a weight provision.
It doesn't always help guys to lose this much weight. There is a point where the loss of weight correlates to a loss of strength.
Good for him, he seemed like a good dude and their run was fun.
Good for him, I like watching him play but him losing 45lbs is like throwing a couple chairs off the Titanic.
I don't care who you are, or what your age, losing 45 pounds is pretty fantastic. Good for him. Shows a lot of dedication to hard work and discipline. Seems like a great young man.
I think you're quite a bit off. His weight loss is very obvious. He's a lot of fun. I hope he makes it.

@EastLansingCat Don't know what is so funny. It's literally proven that when you're that fat the weight drops off fast at first. Why do you think these doctors put these morbily obese people on diets. To lose 80 pounds in 2 months?
Heard its had more lawsuits than any other drug that’s been released for that short of time.

Depends on how obese he was. Yes, some muscle loss will happen. But if you're obese your body will burn it's fat reserves before muscle. Esp. if you're active.
I’m sure his coach at the university loved that he led them to a final four this season.
How mad is Rick Barnes right now? DJ wouldn't drop weight to play at Tennessee but for the NBA? He'll lose an entire small child.
Really pulling for this young man. He’s just a likable guy and that smile is a mile wide. Can’t help but rooting for someone with his spirit. Also J Spear, what’s up buddy. Haven’t saw you around here in five or more years. Haha. Hope all is good.
Sources say if he goes in the first round he can add getting a custom toilet as part of his contract. Second round and he misses out, plus he'll have to use the thin TP that will make his fingers all stinky.

How does a 20 something even gain weight while being a basketball player? That’s crazy.
