Someone needs to make this make sense. So, the PGAT suspended Wesley Bryan, who does not have full-time PGAT status. He can only play select PGAT events currently, they suspended him for playing in a YouTube creators event, something that is more his full-time job these days. But then the exact same PGAT extends an invitation to Grant Horvath to play in a PGAT event. The same Grant Horvath who not only played in that exact same creator event, but was one of the ones who worked to set up the event.

Not great optics if the PGA is truly interested in a merger with LIV.
Regardless of whether they eventually merge or not, just not a good look overall when you suspend one player for playing in the same event you extend an invitation to another player who played and helped organize that event.

The second instance probably resulted due to a backlash from the first. I think you could bet the house on it.

They are getting a lot of backlash over it all now. Even from the very anti-LIV crowd. And rightfully so. They deserve every bit of the backlash over this. Extremely hypocritical to invite one player who played and set up an event you suspended another player for playing in.

They were stupid in the first instance also. I agree with you.;)

Rather hypocritical on pgas part extending an invite to Grant. If I'm LIV I'd give Wes a spot on a team and start a creator series at some of their tour stops. Youtube guys have a huge following, mainly younger crowd. Start influencing them away from PGA now

PGAT is clueless on what to do now that Tiger is gone. They lived off of Tiger as a draw for so long they ignored the rest of the tour. Golf is about to return to being a back of the sports pages sport. LIV doesn't look like it's going to become a big draw either. I wonder how long the Saudis are going to continue to pump money into LIV when it is obvious it is not gaining any momentum among golf fans?

If you worked a few days with your company’s competitor what do you think your company would say?
Wesley knew exactly what was to come of this and he did it anyway.

OK, But why send an invetation to play a PGAT event to one of the other participants in that same event he was suspended because of playing in?

The other guy is not a PGAT member
But the PGAT is letting him play in one of their tournaments. Why if they are not letting Wesley play? Very hypocritical of the PGAT. Wesley was not a full-time PGAT member either. He was only eligible for events he has a sponsor's exemption for, just like the other guy. If one is suspended, both should be suspended.
