I will never forgive whale *** Walters and the other transfer traitors for denying the program a chance to be the first NCAA tournament team in school history in 1991-1992. I'm so happy Billy Donlon is part of the program, in part to experience the success his father was denied.

Well they can still participate in the 3 on 3 tournament. Seriously was NU ever interested in any of the transfer out guys?

Man, what an instant gratification world college sports has become. It took seven years for Porter Moser to build a winner at Loyola. Stallings had a proven track record, yet he gets only two years? And they pushed Jaime Dixon out the door before that (after 11 NCaa appearances in 13 years) and now he's got perennial basketball bottom feeder TCU in the Dance within two years. What was Dixon's problem? Probably fans or boosters griping they never got to the Final Four.

Stallings built winning programs in long tenures at Illinois State and Vandy. I don't think he forgot how to coach over the past two years.
