Im just passing this on, in southern Nebraska Meridian high school is going through some really tough times. Two young men students were killed in a pickup accident. One was a senior to graduate in May, his funeral is this morning, the other I believe was a junior, his funeral hasn't been set yet. A older gentleman in the other pickup was also killed. Meridian is located just west of the town of Daykin on highway 4. I don't know all details, it sounds like it was truly just a bad accident just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Here is what my trusted people in the know are saying: It happened on highway 15... There is a fairly well known consignment sale at the "Saline Center" and the older gentlemen bought a load of hay and a trailer. About 5 miles south of the sale, as he was pulling the load home, the brakes locked up on the "new to him, but old" trailer and the man lost control. Three teenagers collided with the out of control vehicle, the two passengers were killed. The lone survivor is the driver, who is also a junior or senior at Meridian. Terrible tragedy.....
I have to correct you just a little, the boys were heading south on highway 15 the older gentlemen and his son were heading north with empty trailer, the word is the trailer brakes did lock up which caused the north bound pickup to veer into the south bound pickup. FYI that the word on the street about the brakes locking up. 3 individuals were killed two high school boys who attended meridian and a older gentleman in the other pickup, It's truly a terrible tragedy
