Goodfellas, is just one of those movies that are special from start to finish, it wraps it all into one, crime drama, thriller, period piece, and love story, top 10 for me for sure! It really caught the 50 and 60's time well and was so well cast! Funny, I once worked for a guy that's wife was closely related to Henry Hill, we never really talked about it much probably because he was in witness protection!

He was in a TV series, Shades Of Blue, where he portrayed a corrupt police lieutenant who is in charge of a NYPD detective squad . You hated his character, which shows how good he was at his craft.

Great soundtrack also- one of the best.
