Excellent song writer…singer. Saw him in concert years ago….was quite good. He wrote for many….The Eagles….Linda Ronstadt….James Taylor etc.

I did see the Souther, Hillman, Furay Band many moons ago, I cannot remember who else was on the bill that evening. My memory says they were chill and laid back, solid performance, let the music speak for itself Type of evening. RIP

here is their biggest hit. It's like they sound sort of like the other Laurel Canyon bands but only their B sides. My 11 year old is a big Souther fan. In fact, I had no idea who he was until my son mentioned him.
I hope he’s strumming “New Kid In Town” up in heaven today.
