That may have all the members of Derek and the Dominoes — I’m not sure. But it certainly includes Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts of the Stones, Ray Cooper of Elton John’s band, and Steve Winwood. Fun to watch.
No Duane Allman. If you listen to Clapton, he says Duane was the driving force of that album coming together.
Just read up on this song and it turns out he wrote it about his dog. Apparently he was crashing at a house with a bunch of other people and they told him he had to get rid of his cat and dog. While he took his cat somewhere, apparently somebody put his dog down and he the song about his dog and that guy (the guy being the thorn tree).
