Two more MLB hall of famers pass already this year. First Don Sutton now Hamerin Hank RIP.
Hanks numbers are other worldly. Everyone knows about the homeruns, 755 of them but he also is 3rd in hits at 3771. Thats only 485 less than Pete. He was an All Star 25X, 3 Gold Gloves, won a world series, had a lifetime BA of .305. Per 162 games he only struck out 68 times and stole 240 bases. You can go on and on. I remember him as a player. I remember him breaking Babes record. The man was a machine.

Mr. Aaron is an all-time great . It's a shame that some of his records lost their luster due to the obvious cheating by Bonds. Sure, others used steroids during that era. But, both Bonds and Clemens had such obvious physical changes that led to never before seen LATE CAREER production, when others were either falling apart or retiring. RIP #44

I remember sitting in Sportsman's park in St. Louis watching Hank Aaron hit a home run to dead center, I was about 35 rows up behind the plate and heard the bat break when he hit it. Of course they were the Milwaukee Braves then.

Honored to have had a chance to watch all these old greats of the game, whether baseball, nba, nfl. They all played because they loved the game and loved performing for the fans. They never used their platform to espouse social justice. They just played the game and loved the game. Gosh, how I miss those guys. Hammering Hank, RIP, great player, great man.
