some real interesting stories about the guy, but there was a documentary done not too long ago that showed how he lived.. if he invited you for a drink, he'd give you a 5th of JD. Not just a glass of the stuff, the entire bottle was for you and he'd pull out another one for him.

That's the impression I got. But if you look at some recent photos of him he seems to have lost a ton of weight in the last year, so he had to suspect something was amiss.

A close friend is a Metal journalist and has interviewed Lemmy numerous times and partied with him frequently as well------the stories that you have heard are accurate and verified. However, perhaps the stories that you may not have heard are that he was a thoughtful soul and had a heart that was as big as a whale.

Yeah he has missed quite a bit of shows this year as well due to illness. They had to cancel the Houston concert which sucked, but oh well. He was a rock n roll god!
