Man those Purnell commercials during game day hit different back in the day. Good times.

I thought ole Al was ancient during these commercials. I bet I'm older now than he was then.
Purnellās āOld Folksā is the only sausage we buy. Good stuff.
Al has always been extremely proud of his sausage.
Yup, reminds me watching the Rick/Tubby days on channel 9 in my neck of the woods. The best times on the old school Tube TVās. I wish I could go back in time.

I never tried these but I see them at Kroger's all the time. I might pick some up lol.
I like Old Folk's sausage (yes I said that) but I prefer Kountry Boy or Jake's.

I actually remember when his mother was in one of his commercials. She said, āIt all started in my kitchenā. She looked like she was 110 years old in that commercial, which was probably 25 years ago.
I did too. I thought he was old back in the 80ās.
Whatās interesting, is, I just looked it up. That commercial Iām referring to with his mother, was in 2003. I joked that she looked like she was 110, uh, well, she was 101. She died in 2004 at the age of 102.
Maybe eating sausage is the secret to a long life. She dies at 102. His brother just died at 91, and Al is still going strong at 89.

That family has probably taken 15 years off my life but itās been worth it. Damn good sausage.
Back then she actually slaughtered the pig and put the herbs and spices in herself.
Nope eat sausage, eggs, bacon, and toast everyday. Smoke cigarettes, and drink beer or whiskey daily and you will live until you are 105.
I have most of that covered. Donāt drink everyday. Yet.
We bring some back every year on our summer trip home to see family. My parents used to buy hogs from the Amish, which is by far the best of the best, but Purnell's is pretty darned close. And the commercials take me back to being a kid growing up in good ole KY.
