I know most on this board probably don’t really care too much about women’s basketball but I saw a segment on Sportscenter about Sabrina Ionescu. She plays for the Oregon Lady Ducks and going into tonight’s game she was 9 rebounds short of 1000 rebounds during her college career. Before playing in their game tonight she gave a speech at the Memorial for Kobe at the Staples Center then flew to play in her game. She ended up getting the 9 rebounds that she needed for 1000 rebounds in her college career and she also became the first player in Division I to record 2000 points, 1000 assists and 1000 rebounds. She also recorded her 8th triple double of the season and it was her 26th career triple double of her college career. Coincidentally she did it on 2-24. It’s a crazy coincidence that she got her 8th triple double of the season which was one of Kobe’s jersey numbers and she did it on 2-24 which is a combination of Gigi’s jersey number and Kobe’s other jersey number.

I watched some of the game while at the gym. Women's basketball is awful. Is she better than the other players? I guess so. It's like saying Moe is the smart Stooge. Some women's sports are fine, but the Oregon vs Stanford game tonight was dreadful. They are slow, can't jump, heave the ball instead of shooting. And the haircuts for the lady coaching Stanford and the man coaching NC State? Comical. Worse than the Three Stooges

I'm not a fan of womens basketball, but that's kinda harsh.

I watch the Duke women when they are on TV. Shout out to them for picking up a big win against NC State. I also watch big marquee matchups like UCONN/South Carolina or UCONN/Tennessee or whatever big matchup might be taking place. I have been checking Sabrina out when she’s on TV. She’s a phenomenal player who will do great things in the WNBA. All of the records she is setting is absolutely insane!

Her speech yesterday at Kobe's celebration of life was spectacular. As impressive as she is on the basketball court, I was more impressed with her as a young lady and how she handled the loss of her two friends.
Absolutely, I was telling someone yesterday that we got to see what Kobe must have seen in her at the game last night and at the memorial service. He wanted his daughter to see that as well.

I agree, she gave an incredible speech at Kobe’s Memorial.

She’s an incredible player. Should go down in the top 3 all time of women’s basketball, especially if Oregon wins it all this season.
