That's a fine subwoofer that you picked. You wouldn't be wrong in buying it.

A few years ago, my wife made me ditch the towers, so I went looking for a good compact system that wouldn't lose the range of large towers. I came across Orb Audio. They are a direct sales manufacturer (no middle men), so they keep prices down and quality up. You can get them straight from Amazon now.

I have the Uber Ten and Uber Eight subs, which I see might not be available anymore. As far as I know, you can't blow these things. Their new sub is the subONE which is an 8" driver in a 12x12x12 box, small. 200W continuous power, 300W peak - but these things are efficient, so it's not quite fair to compare to other speakers that claim higher power.
$400

So I was checking this stuff out and figured I should call an audiophile friend of mine... So, for $500.00 I just picked up a Marantz AV7702MKII and he is letting me try out 4 Orb Mod2X speakers to set up a 7.2.4 surround... My new subwoofers? Two XTZ Cinema 1x12's... He just got their 3x12 setup and didn't need them... My neighbors are going to love me now... Hahaha...

I can't crank it all the way up anymore... 1950 watts and 80 on the volume is louder than any concert I've ever seen... I broke it in with the same band that blew it up...

What was your opinion on the Orbs?
They are nice. I have them mounted at 6.5 feet as front and rear height speakers in a 7.2.4... I've only used it for music so far... I need to watch some good sci-fi stuff to see the real difference...

I really appreciate their clarity. They make perfect home theater speakers in my opinion, as I find that I can have the TV volume very low with these, but I'm still able to clearly understand dialogue.
Nothing worse than crappy speakers that have to be turned up entirely too loud just to understand what someone is saying.

They go well with my Klipsch speakers... I found this today...

You should go with Definitive Technology SuperCube 8000. Pair that monster with a set of their Mythos ST-L SuperTowers and you'll be blowing your neighbors speakers up.
