On the Giles thread, some of us got off on a tangent about this coming summer. Just wondering what the members' favorite activities are. For me it's camping at the beach every weekend on Long Island's south shore, and a month at my Georgia home on the Ogeechee River.

I've got a trip planned with my daughter to head up to Pennsylvania , we're going to do some horseback riding then spend 3 nights out on Rays Town Lake on a houseboat with my Mom and Dad. The final day My mom is taking the daughter shopping and Dad and I are taking the AR's to PeaceMaker National Training Institute and burn off 4000 rounds of 5.56. I just bought a new sweetheart of a weapon, can't wait. Then in October, flying out to Calvi, France to spend a week with my brother and his new bride.

Gonna load the whole crowd up in the family truckster and head to Wally World. Gonna stop off and see the wife's cousin Eddie. Gotta feeling we will have all sorts of zany adventures.

I'm not sure if we'll be going this summer but my family has been going to White Lake on and off since I was 14 years old...I'm 39 now...so it's not quite as much fun as it used to be because White Lake is a family/kid type of vacation spot but I've got a couple of friends that live down there that I've known since I was a teenager that I look forward to seeing for about a week every summer

Going to Crazie4Life's wedding. The beach with the family and getting ready for football season for my son and my daughter will be doing Specialty Team in Gymnastics.

You're all butthurt that he has been harsh toward some of your basketball-related opinions, so now you're throwing around catty remarks about what he's doing in his role as a dad, husband, son, and brother?
In a thread asking about what any of us have planned for our personal lives, like, with our families, the only one out of line here is you. It's like you're jealous that he's doing something cool so you're talking ish. Did you see how fun my Summer is going to be? I'll be breaking my back with a (garden) hoe mid-day in July so tomato money will help pay for the greenhouse that means the Summer after that will involve even more hard labor. I don't regret any of it. You sound like you're jealous and bitter about what someone else gets to do. It's embarrassing.
