OT: Swanigan to Purdue

Bit puzzling as to why he de-committed from MSU - a great school. From the article it appears he wanted to stay in state.

Glad we didn't land him in all that - would have hated to see us land him, potentially lose out on some other players in the process, and then see him go elsewhere.

And, certainly puts Izzo in a bit of a bind. Has to be disappointing.

Seems a lot of Swanigan's change in commitment revolves around his guardian; indeed a tough situation for Izzo and MSU

Izzo and Michigan St landed another high rated big fella after Swanigan. They will be just fine.

Izzo can certainly develop bigs, which made Swanigan's decision to decommit all the more curious. I know he wanted to play at the four, but it just seemed like he'd be a perfect project for Izzo to mold.
