You're dead on target...
I think this garbage redesign is the last straw that will push me off their site for good.
The college football page now takes more clicks to get to the content you want. I used to be able to click on the Big 12 blog directly from the "Blogs" pulldown menu. Now that pulldown menu disappears as soon as you move your cursor, so the only way to reach the Big 12 blog is to click the national blog first and THEN click on the Big 12 blog.
Another complete failure is on the MLB scoreboard page. It is now blank, and the calendar doesn't work. The only way to read box scores or recaps is by clicking on each game individually from the banner scoreboard at the top.
The old format displayed ALL of the day's games on a single page, where you could quickly see winning and losing pitchers, saves, and home runs along with quick headlines for each game without leaving the scoreboard page. It was a great one-stop clearinghouse where you could rapidly catch up on all the storylines from games that day. For example, because of the terrible new format I had no idea Boston had 2 players hit 2 HR each on Opening Day whereas under the old format that would've stood out immediately to anyone clicking on the scoreboard page.
