Paid special attention to Aranda today. Horrific decision to go for it on 4th down that ended up costing them a TD. Guy also seems to have absolutely no personality. I understand he is a good coach, but I think we can do better.

All I know is that OSU only scored one TD, Baylor tackles better than OU, and the team plays harder and hits harder. To win with a freshman backup QB who did make a couple rookie mistakes was special. No doubt, Aranda’s personality isn’t what fans want but to do what he’s done at BAYLOR in two years is outstanding. If Joe thinks he’s the right guy for the job, I’ll be a fan. But I rather have Dan Lanning which is a bigger gamble. We’ll find out soon.

All Aranda did was take a two-win team from a year ago to an 11 win team this year and as Oklabama mentioned had his defense make big plays on defense, 4 picks and a goal line stand, holding the favored Cowboys to one TD.
All with a freshman QB.
By season's end, Baylor was the best team in the Big12.
And I haven't heard too many Patriot fans complain about Belichick's lack of a personality......which has nothing to do with his aptitude.

New HC can have the personality of a bowl of oatmeal for all I care as long as he gets OU back to playing big boy football.

Excellent point, CT. Damn I wish I had used that.

Going to wear a white t-shirt to work on Monday. Telling everyone it's my "OSU Conference Championship" shirt.

After that travesty in Stillwater last week, Pokes got what they deserved...screw 'em.

Well they avoided what most likely would have been the same treatment their big brother has gotten in the playoff. Cincy will likely get smashed, but they planted a flag for future GO5 teams like San Diego State, Tulane, SMU, Florida Atlantic, UAB, Tulsa , Northern Illinois, Toledo or any other borderline team to follow.

Utah, TCU, Houston, UCF, Cincy, BYU all are gonna be at the table( Utah and TCU already are). Memphis, Boise and USF are likely next. But Cincy just making the thing is a major win for that next group to aspire to. Semifinal games are almost always terrible anyhow, so even if Cincy loses big it isn't a major loss for them. It's ironic that the year they found out that they will soon get the elevation they have been looking for, is the same year they will be carrying the flag for a group that they are leaving behind.

I was hoping for a Bama loss and Oklahoma State win because I wanted to see three new teams freshen up the invitational. I don't want to see an all SEC championship ( I'm a Gator fan saying that). But in all reality that is what we are going to see imo. This is your new league, but I really can't stand the we are SEC!!! Congrats on your new coach. See you in two years(likely).
