Lots of Medilldos here, and the podcast The Trojan Horse Affair is a pretty fascinating podcast that came out a few weeks ago in collaboration between Brian Reed (Serial Productions’ S-Town podcast) and Hamza Syed (an English-Pakistani doctor and journalism student).

I’d recommend it.

There’s some great reporting — it appears to be about four years’ worth — and an unclear conclusion, and some great discussion of what journalism is supposed to do, anyway.

I’ll note that there’s been a fair amount of recent criticism of the reporters’ methods and the completeness of the story told.

Tie to NU hoops: there’s some question about forged or falsified documents, and there’s a Johnnie-like incident where someone is purported to have spelled their own name wrong. (Similar context, too: that TA f*cking sucked.)

I listened to that series, enjoyed it. Is the conclusion unclear? I thought it was pretty clear, just without a smoking gun.
