I figured I'd participate in a topic a little less serious. I don't imagine I'm going to find too many fans of the game here; but who knows.

I've just finished building my first 2,000 point army (Custodes) and played a few matches.

Any other 40k fans wanting to chime in on advice for a new player?

never heard of this game, but Champions of Norrath was my shite!
Damn thats a call back. I also loved the **** out of that game.

As I've gotten older I dont mind myself engaging with video games as much as I used to. WH40K is done on table top. You have a physical army on the table, and your objective is to out manuever and just generally strategically defeat your opponent.

At the very least, assembling and painting the minis is a nice quiet hobby, and playing the actual table top is a good mental exercise.

Oh that's dope. I never got into table top games after Risk, Stratego, and Settlers of Catan. The set up and break down is my biggest turnoff about them. I just finished playing Diablo 3 again the other day. Those are probably my favorite kinds of games. Wish they'd do a remaster for a lot of those classics.

I was so addicted to Diablo 2 the summer of 2001/2002 cant recall - that when I showed up for the first day of summer camps, coach sent me to see the school nurse because he thought I was sick.

Nope. Just pale as **** because I didnt see the sun all summer coach. Was busy doing MF runs of Mephisto over and over again...

3 was good. Just wish it wasnt so...colorful.

Diablo 4 is also out now and I liked it but it still hasn't captured whatever it was about 2 I loved so much....

What I would absolutely kill to have remastered is the Lord of the Rings games. Those were epic. like 2004-2006 or so. I played those to no end. So many different options and storylines with all the different characters. One of my all time favorites.

I was just talking to my buddy about that series the other day. We spent an absurd amount of time on the co op. Lets start a movement!

For those that might be interested in WH, here's what an actual game looks like. Yes. The players in the videos are always giant nerds. Part of the territory of table top games I guess...
