Bradshaw and Neil freakin' O'Donnell. Had a legit shot to beat the Cowboys in SB XXX in spite of his 3 picks.
I’ve told this story before but I’ll once again tell when I knew the Steelers weren’t going to win a Super Bowl with O’Donnell at the helm.
He came into the liquor I worked at on the Jersey shore and stood for a 3-5 minutes staring at the one shelving unit of soda we had in the store. Finally I asked him if he needed any help and he said, “Yeah, do you have Pepsi?”. I just stared for a second to see if he was serious, then said, “It’s directly in front of you, at eye level.” He just said, “Oh man, I didn’t even see it!” When he threw the INT to a wide open Larry Brown I just watched and silently nodded my head.

O’Donnell is a Maryland grad. Just saying, implying nothing.

Favorite : Joe Theismann
Least : Everyone between 1994 and 2024 except RGIII, all 31 of them
It’s a point of pride with me that the Redskins have had three quarterbacks who won a Super Bowl.

Otto Graham (before my time) / Bernie Kosar followed by Frank Ryan for my years actually watching the team as the favorites

Deshaun Watson tie with Billy (aka Johnny Foosball) for the worst, and by a far margin

Least favorite, Tommy Maddox when he was with the Steelers. The only good thing he did was get injured so a rookie by the name of Roethlisberger could replace him. The most favorite. Terry Bradshaw is a close 2nd.

Terry Bradshaw and whoever gets the job next year.
Not a Steelers fan but when I was at PSU, I had a couple Steelers fans as roommates. This was when Tom Selleck, no, Mark Malone was their QB. My roommates hated Malone so much they'd cheer when the other team laid a good hit on him. They were hoping he'd get hurt and knocked out of the game.

EDIT: So I checked Malone's Wiki page to see what his stats were and came across this gem. I don't remember it but it's hilarious.

Station wagon incident

On December 3, 1987, Tony Morelli, a disgruntled 30-year old Steelers fan from Ohio, drove his Plymouth station wagon to Three Rivers Stadium and plowed through the front gates, narrowly missing stadium workers. Once inside, he ran over eight 10-gallon vats of nacho cheese sauce, then raced around the stadium's walkways and ramps at speeds of up to 50 mph. Stadium officials later found him on the field kicking field goals without a football. According to police, the only thing he said was that he was upset with Malone's passing performance. He was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass, but the charges were dropped when he paid $1,345 in restitution, of which $685 went towards the cost of the nacho cheese.

His family owned a stone and brick business in Weirton, West Virginia. He was the guy that my parents purchased the brick from for their house just before that.

He struggled a lot, but also got threats and other nonsense, which I find absurd. It’s a game and people are nuts. I liked him a few years later on ESPN.

Least favorite is tough. I’ll go with Bubby Brister. Honorable mentions. Malone, Kent Graham, Neil O’Donnell, Maddox.

Favorite is Big Ben.

Of all the crummy QBs the Eagles have had over the years, you went with the guy that owns some Eagles passing records? Interesting.

The great Fran Tarkenton. The not-so-great Christian Ponder.

As a fellow Bills fan, I wholeheartedly agree with your list. I got to meet EJ Manuel at a family party in Lancaster several years ago, nice fellow, and now a broadcaster.

The guy who got tired during a Super Bowl while his best receiver was playing his heart out on a broken leg- yes.

He went with the only guy that puked in the super bowl.
Which also means just one of very few to also get them to the Super Bowl. I’m just always perplexed by the Donovan hate. They hated him from the draft and never let it go. I’m not saying he was fantastic, but they had Detmer, Peete, Kolb, and Pedersen as starting QBs and some single out McNabb?

Jim McMahon/Bob Avellini - hated Justin Fields but to be fair pretty much every QB in the last 40 years for Da Bear have sucked.

McNabb didn't get the team to the super bowl anymore than Trent differ took the ravens.

The eagles had a great ol, very good running game, great special teams, great defense and a top coach. The weakness of the team was the passing game.

I saw Neil O’Donnell at a Giant Eagle about a month ago. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Heinz ketchup bottles in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bottles and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bottle and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
