Interstate 70 in St. Louis has the shortest merge lanes anywhere, brutal.

Columbus can be hard too, around the German Village I70 has been under construction since Earle Bruce was coaching.

Florence, Italy - Scooters everywhere and they just fill in all space on the road at stops.

Paris, France - In the days before GPS, I drove from Heidelberg, Germany to Paris with a girl in my Corolla hatchback five speed. We printed maps and made it there pretty well - but there are several streets with similar names that made for an adventure. Also, having the fuel light come on and not knowing where a gas station was is not fun at all. Luckily we found one; otherwise, we would have really ‘stau’d’ up things in the Latin Quarter.

New York City - Driving back from Maine we had to take the GW Bridge which is two levels; the issue though is you have a tiny merge window where you have to cross three lanes of traffic to get on the bridge and it’s brutal.

The stretch of I-4 west from downtown Orlando to it's termination in downtown Tampa is one of the worst stretches I've driven and that includes the 405, I-10 from LA to I-15, and the Dan Ryan in Chicago. There are so many stoppages for zero reason with people (many of them tourists) having no idea how to merge or which exit they're supposed to use.

Also, young PSU fans will never know the frustration of driving from Harrisburg to State College on a football Saturday, especially a noon/1pm (remember those?) start. Extra strategy had to be employed to hit the narrows at the right time and hope there wouldn't be any accidents to make it even worse.

Has it ever improved? Curious since I may be making that drive for an early game this year.

Kentucky. You can be on the interstate, see miles and miles of open road ahead, and be stuck behind cars in three lanes all doing the speed limit.

I lived In the Bronx and my region was northern jersey. I lived on Pelham parkway so Pelham parkway to cross Bronx expressway over the gw bridge and to 80 then branch off to different highways from there back and forth every day. Sometimes it could take 2 hours to go 7-20 miles each way. Tourists season was a major b@@$tch.

I didn't drive there but Bali Indonesia is horrible. Bumper to bumper traffic that's 75% scooters that weave in and out between the cars. Very few lights so every intersection is a free for all. Then add dogs running free in the streets. I've never seen anything like it.

I-26 in to and out of Charleston. In reality, I-26 from Columbia to Charleston. Simply because of the dipshits who can't maintain speed because of their phone conversations and those that don't understand yielding the passing lane to faster moving traffic.

Chennai, India… jammed traffic 24 hours a day. Whole families on motorcycles. Traffic lights optional. Cows and stray dogs by the roadside. What a scene.

Belt Parkway
Quick story....my Dad got sick in 2009....so I retired from real estate and banking to care for him. After he passed my wife and I went to truck driving school and drove together. My wife was great driving as long as it was not raining, windy, night time, up mountains, heavy traffic, didn't need to exit the interstate, etc! Anyway...somehow she got herself onto the Belt Parkway....and smack in the middle of the 6 lanes...of course she started to freak out and pulled the air lock levers for the tractor and trailer...I had to scramble out of the bunk, jump in the driver's seat and start moving! Needless to say some drivers weren't happy about that.

As a professional driver with well over 1,000 000 miles driven...nothing compares to l-5 in LA and NYC
Driving a 45 foot Charter Bus in and around Manhattan is hard due to all the people.

I love driving in Mexico City ! Not for the faint of heart though . A very decisive co-pilot is a necessity . AMAZING how few accidents there. Everyone knows it's a complete free for all . If it were an American city there would thousands of horns blowing 24/7. Mexicans have some things going over us ...........

The worst traffic I've ever experienced was Mexico City

Most aggressive bat shiit crazy drivers are my home town, Boston

Most completely unconscious, out to lunch, just plain dumb drivers are in Dallas. I never once saw an overturned car in my life until I moved to Dallas and now I see one a month minimum.

But it all honesty, I've never really driven in STL

Eh, you just got off at Mifflintown, went across the river, up 333 on the other side, by the train station, cross back over and get back on at Kish Creek. Sometimes it helped, and sometimes it took just as long, but at least you were moving.

I 95 from Fredericksburg, Virginia all the way up East Coast
Fredericksburg and just a bit north... there seems to be a perpetual orange/red/black zone on my map app there. I know that was the area years ago when the snowstorm hit that people ended up spending a day out there.

+1.
Most of us residents here in NM would like to build a wall to keep the Texans out.

Well, it depends on what time of day you're doing it and what day you're doing it. There are currently 4 chokepoints where you're down to about 25 mph or less for over a mile and that's without any lane closures or short merges. The one at 4/275 junction in downtown Tampa is pretty much an expectation because it seems that nowhere in the US now can two major interstates come together without it being a hogpile.

I hate I4 so much. And 75 while were at it. You can never relax; either someone is going too slow in front of you, or someone is up your *** the second you get in the left lane. So many slow downs for no damn reason.
