He’s good. That's great but it's worrisome that he had a toe injury in August that supposedly wasn't anything serious and he missed both pro day and BBM this past week. We need him back at practice full steam asap. We're 3 weeks from the start of the season. I know how competitive he is so it's hard to believe he'd be sitting out if he was ok.

IIRC, Oweh mentioned at Pro Day that he's going full speed again (as in, he was starting full contact, full speed, full everything practices). That was last week when he was supposed to start. That's great but it's worrisome that he had a toe injury in August that supposedly wasn't anything serious and he missed both pro day and BBM this past week. I haven't seen any evidence of him practicing and BBM or pro day are a lot easier than one of our practices. I hope he's been going hard in practice and there just hasn't been any footage of it but if it was such a minor injury I don't see how it is still affecting him 2 months later. It's not negativity as I have to be one of the most positive posters here. It's concern that he's not out there leading us in these activities he's sitting out.IIRC, Oweh mentioned at Pro Day that he's going full speed again (as in, he was starting full contact, full speed, full everything practices). Not worried in the slightest. Oweh is an ace, and you don't gamble with losing an ace. The toe should be fine. Pope and the staff are taking it slow because ligament injuries can linger if you don't rest and treat them properly the first time.
Because he hadn't been cleared yet.I haven't seen any evidence of him practicing
They're getting him up to speed. They're not going to throw him out there if he hasn't had a chance to practice with the guys in a while.and BBM or pro day are a lot easier than one of our practices.
Turf toe is a variable injury to the ligament that takes the brunt of the force involved in running and walking. That gets reaggravated every time a step is taken. So, the boot was probably to get his ligament stabilized so it wasn't reinjured with every step. Since the boot has come off, they've probably been taking time to strengthen and stretch the area — the old rehab song and dance. Now, they're likely getting Oweh up to speed in practice. All in due time. No need to rush the preseason SEC POY.I hope he's been going hard in practice and there just hasn't been any footage of it but if it was such a minor injury I don't see how it is still affecting him 2 months later.
