Other than the '86 Red Sox, what team of the '80s could have beaten the '86 Mets in a 7-game series?

Greetings everyone. Other than the 1986 Boston Red Sox, what other teams in the '80s could have beaten the 1986 New York Mets in a seven-game series? Curse you John McNamara!
'84 Tigers? '80 Phillies? Which team(s) and what's your reasoning? buckner 1986.jpg

Yankees of course. Beat Boston 8-5 regular season. Would have crushed the stinkin mets. No wild card back then.

84 Tigers started 35-5 and were a machine through the order and on the mound. They could definitely be in the argument as the best team of the '80s. I'd also nominate the 89 A's as they were very similar to the 84 Tigers but they had the staying power having lost the WS in 88 to the Dodgers and again in 90 to the Reds. 89 will be remembered more for the earthquake and the Series was a bit of an afterthought so I don't think the A's got their just due.

Quite surprising they lost two WS out of three much like the '69-'71 Orioles.

Morris, Petry and Wilcox vs. Gooden, Darling, Ojeda, and Fernandez, If the Tigers can get it to Willie Hernandez, one has to like their chances.
