I agree with him of course. I think the guy was mostly taking a dig at Texas in this article however. That's bulletin board material for Texas. They don't care who wrote it.

I do feel OU is the better program. But then we're talking about Texas. I've never thought that much about Texas and all the rah rah that the Texas job is the plum for coaches. They haven't been such a big part of the college landscape since Royal's teams except the year Mack beat USC for the championship. For that, I give it up to him. I hate USC much more than the Longhorns. Texas never was the great program as Tom Osborne had at Nebraska. IMO. Now I would really like for Bob to kick Charlie Strong's *** tomorrow to show everyone that I'm right.

I live in Texas... it is not texASS... texASS is the land of Whorndom fantasy in which they feel superior to those around them... they love DKR, until you ask where he's from, and where he played. The sorry whorns have one place to thank for any football success. Oklahoma. Period. Their stadium is more properly called, "Native Oklahoman & Sooner All-American Stadium" because it is the house that DKR built...

It's 8:01 on Friday morning, and, texASS still SUCKS!!!

I lived in Houston for five years during the early 70's which was a great time for the Sooners. I enjoyed the state of Texas. I never had any issue with the state.....only the Aggie and Horn fans. Red McCombs was a really good customer of mine for over 20 years, and he is a terrific guy, but he is a Longhorn through and through. He knew I loved OU and respect that so we got along very well. I did tease him about the autographed Longhorn jersey #80 that Mack signed for his 80th birthday. At that time, Red was dreaming about Nick Saban. LOL I haven't talked to him since I retired last year and probably never will again. Our relationship was strictly business and my successor still works with the McCombs organization so I keep up with Red and the Horns through him. Right now, Red is ready for a new coach....ASAP from what I hear. He wasn't a big fan of Charlie's hire in the first place.
