This looks like the Sooners of early season.

This lob from Spangler to Lattin is a nice addition offensively that has to be a reaction to the pressure Buddy receives.

3 isn't there so far especially for Buddy and VCU made a run with their best offensive player Lewis. Not unexpected. Settle down and go inside.

Sooners by 8 under 4 min.

Hield with 2 fouls on the bench and not shooting well. Cousins immediately picks up the slack with steal, layup and 'and 1' free throw make.

Buddy will be big in the second half. Outstanding play with Buddy on the bench.

Not much production from our back-ups. That said, we are winning nearly all the major stats thus far.

44-31 Sooners at the half.

Great play considering we could barely make a 3.

Strong defense. Aggressive rebounding. Lots of intensity.

Cousins stinking up the joint offensively and defensively to start the 2nd half. Figures he would not look for Buddy.

He had a wide open 7 footer that he air balled and clanged the 3 pointer. Then Lewis blows by him for an easy lay-up.

Cousins fashions himself to be another Oscar Robertson. Bad news.

VCU can't miss right now and we can't rebound. We're not looking to go to a set play for Buddy. It's the Cousins show. He's 0-4 in the 2nd half including 0-3 from the arc.

Woodard had the right idea to go the basket and he was explosive in this half before foul trouble.

We need to stop with the one-on-one approach. Move the ball around! Need to start securing rebounds too.

VCU runs are killing us. If we don't hit the offensive glass this half, it's going to be a long offseason.

Lewis is breaking down our defense and its had us out of sorts all half.

Buddy with a huge 3 to put us back in front.

Why is it that below average 3 point shooters always seem to turn into Reggie Miller against us?

A lot of ticky-tack fouls have been called on both sides since this half began. FT shooting down the stretch will be critical the way the game is being called. Advantage to neither side.

was very concerned about this game. Needless to say VCU has a very good team. I guess they missed a bunch of 3's, but it surely didn't seem like it...wow!

Is that your good luck post? Swore that I've seen it twice before about different players. Did it work the first two times?

Fun game to watch. Lots of players holding on to the bottom of their trunks in exhaustion during free throws (read somewhere that was a sign of guys being wiped).

Buddy is something else, great clutch player, beautiful step-back jumper. Reminds me of Curry on a college level. He'll do well with a team like the Warriors.
