Our defense is not good enough to take a low scoring night.... Just not our night for shots... Start of the year... If you said we would make sweet 16 after what Cal left us... Would have been happy... To me... We are ahead of schedule.

Wish it wasn’t to Tennessee but losing is fine. We weren’t making a final four anyways. Some of you need to get your expectations aligned with reality. Having butler and Carr banged up and missing Robinson, it’s amazing to be a In the sweet 16
Didn't affect Tennessee at all. Seriously, we were bitching and moaning in the stands about how Tennessee couldn't miss (me being the only UK fan in my immediate vicinity. Evidently people with money just kinda go to these games with no dog in the fight just to complain about their bets falling through). We weren't engaged at all. No defensive intensity, lazy passes, and soft as Charmin on the boards.
It's unfortunate that the team went out without a fight, but overall, a good inaugural season for Pope. He knows the expectation is so much more and he knows we should've been in that game. I feel terrible for the seniors, but that's the way March is.
It’s not like the ripped the nets up either. I mean we shot a good percentage but I still think it had to do with some issues. I agree that those things cost us the game for sure.
