Idk what the opinion of people on these boards is of KSR, but I was a listener and may continue when sports come back. But was wondering others opinions on the show over the last 6 months. Seems like Jones has become more arrogant and show is centered around his opinion ruling things.

I’m not a “stick to sports” because there are no sports, and its also why I listened to KSR. But I feel like it got so one-sider and “IM RIGHT” that it made me turn it off. For example, when arguing about whether Churches should be forced to close during COVID-19, Ryan wouldn’t give a clear answer, but Jones would not let him be, and kept pressuring him to say how bad the churches were. Like chill, obviously he doesn’t wanna answer on public radio. Sure you are right, but my man is not comfortable the past 5 times you asked. Let it be.

Moreover, the whole “pick the idiot caller/tweet and make fun of them on the show/twitter and be outraged” stick is getting old. I’m a conservative for disclosure, but my dude will literally get one tweet at him from a NUT saying something terrible and it will be talked about on the show like “can you believe people think this?!?! And these are the same people electing this President… Trump always makes things worse. Smh, this same guy twitter bio says he believes in God. What a hypocrite.”

Bruh, the dude you are outraged about is an idiot. You can find idiots everywhere. The show has turned into “OUTRAGE AT THE IDIOT.” Part of me believes he wants those people to call in. People who actually have arguments, are ACTUALLY conservative with solid facts/opinions are ignored, cut off, and never talked about. Its okay to talk politics, but when you only address the lunatics who oppose you, and not the legit critics, then you’re dishonest and getting too political.

idk. I’ve been listening for 7+ years, supported the whole #freeMattJones stick even as a right wing person. But I just wanted to rant because it got old real quick.

Yes, he constantly pushes his opinion no matter the subject.

He always says "wouldn't you agree" to Ryan and I am pretty much sure he just agrees with everything he says as to not have to listen to him ramble on anymore.

I used to really like the show. I am a middle of the road guy so his politics don't bother me but his inability to listen to other POV is really annoying.

As a conservative, I agree to this point too. His politics aren't bothersome. Its the arrogance and inability to listen and cherrypicking lunatics to argue with

I stopped listening a long while ago. Just find another show to listen to man. It's clear hes not interested in taking the show back to what it used to be. WJOX is what I flip on most mornings anymore.

I used to listen pretty often to get uk sports news when he first started, and liked his show for the most part, but never cared for his personality, especially his condescending persona. he would rudely cut callers off in mid sentence which always turned me off. i think he eventually tried to emulate finebaum and the way he handles callers.
In the past two or three years more uk news sources seemed to be available and his reports became less “scoop” worthy. rarely listen nowadays. if he and rex both took a hike and got lost the uk radio airwaves would be more enjoyable.

Matt mentioned recently that the people at iHeart wanted him to call the show The Matt Jones Show instead of Kentucky Sports Radio. The thing is though is KSR is Matt Jones, he is the brand, so when you listen to KSR you’re not necessarily listening to a radio show about Kentucky sports, despite the name, you’re listening to the Matt Jones show.

I quit listening to the radio show a few months ago. Just a week or two ago I removed the KSR app from my cell phone and Ipad. Don't want anything to do with supporting him or his cause.

Thats what I said... my point was asking if any other people stopped listening for the same reason. it was once a great show

Much like you I listened for the sports info. I knew his political takes were quite different than mine and thats ok. When he didn't stick to sports I was fine with it. In the last year or so what made me turn it off was his complete in ability to listen to anyone with an opposing view point without being rude or arrogant. You either agree with him or your just stupid.

I haven't listened in five years & don't miss it at all. I'd floss a T-rex before subjecting myself again to Miss Jones, Lemond & that other idiot.

I listen on a pretty regular basis. I have about an hour commute to work, so it fills the drive up for me. I enjoy the show. Like many things in life, it’s not for everyone.

After listening for the last 8-9 yrs I stopped listening about 2 months ago. Like Jones used to always say "if you don't like it don't listen", so I l decided to stop listening. Living in Louisville I've always appreciated him blasting UofL but his persona is just so insufferable I couldn't listen anymore.

That is what I did. I was a pretty regular listener but ever since about the SEC tournament I quit listening. His persona has got worse. You would think someone like him who came from Eastern Kentucky and built his empire would be more modest and respectful of people. He's just as happy to tear people down when they disagree with him.
