I'm going to go with 23-1/2. I'm sure JLo will have a division of writhing dancers enhancing her 'music' (very loose description). I also feel sure her ***-ets will be prominently displayed (better have a widescreen TV). Not sure what to expect from Shakira but would guess she'll have a passel of dancers, also.

My brother had a friend who worked at Rupp for a while. He had a theory that the more equipment a band traveled with, the less talent they actually possessed. I think the corollary could be that the more dancers one employs, the less actual musical talent a performer has.

Who gives a rip? If you are watching the halftime show it is because you have not been invited to a SB party or are too lazy to host one. Halftime is for food and for visiting with those friends you ain't seen in a while, the ones who showed up after kickoff. This is useful time for settling any arguments, getting the last of the 3rd and 4th quarter bets in, and for calling your old lady with whatever excuse you will be using for getting home later than you promised. Go outside with your friends, smoke, drink, take turns shooting at something that needs to quit floating in your pond.

Whoever is making the selections for the half time show are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. While nice to look at, neither J-Lo or Shakira are what I consider great entertainment.

I went over to Indiana at lunch to bet on the game and got their prop bets and I didn't see that on there. I didn't see the over/under on the anthem though either.

Could be way worse. Think about people coming up through music these days and people will wish it was only this bad.

From original post: I think the corollary could be that the more dancers one employs, the less actual musical talent a performer has.

I believe, after last night's 'performance', the corollary has been proven to be true. Good thing that the entertainment industry is so #metoo and empowering to women so that J Lo can thrust her barely covered crotch and *** at a global audience of a few hundred million. The total lack of self-awareness and irony is stunning. Shakira was only slightly more modest and I'm far from a prude. It seems so many of today's musical artists rely on choreography and teasing 'wardrobe malfunctions' over, you know, actual musical talent. Couldn't one see basically the same type of show with more talented musicians on half a dozen Las Vegas stages pretty much every night of the week? So, why would anyone go see J Lo, et al?

Or just go to Cowboys or one of the other strip clubs here in Lexington . . . about the size of it from what little I watched.
