It has been my understanding that the OW award is for the outstanding wrestler in the tournament. Seems it has morphed into the wrestler with the best season or with the best career.

Even if it was for the tournament and/or the season, how do you not select Hendrickson?

It’s beauty pageant now. It was pretty much decided when Cstar won his 5th.

In theory, it should be for the competitor that scores the most points for their team.

Chael Sonnen has gone on a few rants about how voters always eff it up by voting for "the best wrestler IN the tournament" rather than "the best wrestler OF the tournament" like it's meant to be. That happened here clearly. I worry they'll pull similar shenanigans for the Hodge by making it a lifetime achievement award rather than a Heisman/MVP/Hodge
